This is a real treat!

In a nutshell, Sara and her twin sister, Julia both suffer from the same degenerative eye problem that is untreatable. After Sarah is found hanged at her home, Julia and her husband temporarily move in to Sarah’s home to deal with the funeral and such like. However, Julia suspects that her sister was murdered and tries to get to the bottom of it. As her own sight begins to falter things take a turn for the worse and she finds herself in a very dangerous situation.

Awful, awful, awful. Harrison Ford is too old for this type of roll. He was embarrassingly bad in the first part of this, and only seemed to show any real enthusiasm about two thirds in. It’s full of the same old Indiana Jones clichés – I don’t think that they even tried to inject anything new into it. Why bother when it will put bums on seats with little to no effort? What on Earth was Cate Blanchett thinking when she took this role?

The lack of imagination in the above tagline says it all. This is a tired franchise that should have been laid to rest by now. Let’s hope they don’t dig it up again.

P.S. I don’t know what it was really made of, but does anyone else think that the ‘crystal skull’ looked like plastic with some scrunched up cling film in it?

This should have been ‘right up my street’, but it wasn’t. It’s very visually stunning with clever use of colour, but the look of the film is its best quality. For some reason I found that it couldn’t hold my attention. It has a strange and completely bereft of emotion love story element and in some cases is just plain pretentious. I also found the mix of Dickensian times and the 1960s somewhat silly.

I really should have liked this, and it’s a shame that I didn’t.

A horrific car accident connects three stories, each involving characters dealing with loss, regret, and life’s harsh realities, all in the name of love. And bloody marvellous it is too!

Although there are three stories, it never gets confusing as they overlap beautifully.

It’s not really possible to go into it any any great detail because it would take far too long. The above is really all you need to know!
